Home and Landscape Expo

Come along with me on a tour of the local Home and Landscape Expo last Friday.

I saw some nice landscape displays.  Since we were indoors, in January, it was surprising to see some of the innovative ideas.  Would you like an outdoor shower, or you could use an old car and a toy car as accent pieces.  I wanted to dust  that black car for the display.

The ShamWow Guy was there.

……And the Miracle Knife Guy.  It’s funny how they go right on talking their script wheather they have an audience or not.

It wasn’t a very nice day to look at a boat.

Big Bubbas Bad BBQ smelled really good but it was so cold and wet outside.  This show was set at Cal Expo where the California State Fair is held in August.  I had to walk between 8 Buildings  to visit the vendors.

The World’s Largest Waffle Cone was situated beside the Water Slide Park that is closed, of course for the season.  I imagine it has long lines in the summer.

This furniture piece caught my eye.  It was next to a Murphy bed.  It would be lovely to  have a sewing center that could fold away when you weren’t using it.  Look at that table space for quilting or something.  I just don’t sew anymore.  I made a lot of my own clothes in college. I was a Home Economics major and I worked in a fabric store!

This day was a good way to get out of the house on a gloomy Friday and I was inticed by the $2 bargain entrance fee.  When I drove into the parking area I was miffed at the $10.00 parking fee and I would have turned around and parked somewhere else except for the fact that it was pouring rain.

So now you know.  I am thrifty but also a wuss.

Thanks for taking me along and saving me that parking fee. I’d would have loved having a piece of furniture that was a sewing wall in the good ol’ days when I was sewing up a storm. Thanks for sharing.

I love the tour of the expo. I am a gardner. So, I love anything that has to do with related subjects.

You asked about the stores I shop at. They can be found in the midwest.

  3. Looks like fun! Now I’m wanting some BBQ!…Debbie
